Instructor/choreographer for 20+ years, Hazel holds a BA in dance from San Jose State University and founded the contemporary non-profit Kairos Dance Company in 2006. Credits and awards include 2013 Rocky Mountain Choreography Festival Winner and 2015 sjDANCEco ChoreoFest Audience Choice Award. Resident choreographer for Puttin’ On Productions theatre company, Hazel has been involved since its inception in 2007, and currently serves as TADA Program Director. Recent musical theatre choreography credits include the LA Times’ Critic’s Choice of Chance Theater’s “A Chorus Line”, and "Light in the Moonless Midnight", a contemporary full-length multimedia work designed to erase the stigma of mental illness. Hazel continues to bring her love and passion for the arts to students of all ages.
